PROJECT CASE STUDY
ACW — Racking Relocation, Repair and Expansion
Racking relocation, repair, modifications and installation.

The requirement
Adelaide Contract Warehouse had outgrown its previous facility and needed more pallet storage at a larger site. Existing equipment needed to be assessed, relocated and integrated with additional racking.
Work completed
- Dismantled existing racking and inspected components.
- Repaired and relocated suitable APEX, Colby and Dexion systems.
- Reinstalled and modified the layout, adding 50 new BHD bays.
Project configuration
The installation combined 4.8 m, 6 m and 7.2 m uprights. The new BHD bays used 7 m uprights and 2.5 m beams, with predominantly back-to-back CHEP pallet storage.
The outcome
The completed layout provided more than 450 pallet racking bays and 4,000 pallet positions, combining reusable racking with new capacity.
